Learning stuff

Thanks to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), I have a free subscription to Coursera until March 2021. Anyone in Minnesota can sign up for the free online courses and with the subscription, you don’t have to pay for the completion certificates.

I’m taking a Personal Branding course right now from the University of Virginia. The instructor, Kimberley R. Barker, is wonderful. The instructional videos are captioned and well-organized. The readings are all ones that I can read using Read Aloud on Microsoft Edge. And I can type in the discussion threads using WordQ word prediction software. All in all, this course is working very well as far as my accessibility needs. I know I’m learning a lot that will help me with my blog and online personal brand. I’m almost done with this class and may take a marketing course next.

If you’re from Minnesota, here’s the information from DEED Careerforce on how to request Coursera access, so that you, too, can keep learning stuff during our hanging-out-at-home-most-of-the-time COVID life. #MaskUpMN

  1. You’re still cute and handsome as ever in a mask.J.
Cool that you are taking courses online from home! Right up your alley!
    Carry on…good choices, too.
