Seven weeks ago, I started to feel pain in my right little toe. I have athetoid cerebral palsy and that does mean I bump toes into equipment and stuff so thought I maybe just wacked it on something. But, it’s only gotten worse and is now at a constant six out of ten pain scale. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so when something is hurting, it’s really hurting.
About five years ago, I had surgery to cut tendons in both of my big toes, because my muscle tone was so high that I was dislocating my big toes and they were starting to curve and bend permanently and caused immense pain. Now, my little toe on my right foot is doing the same thing. I meet with the orthopedic surgeon who did my last big toe surgery in a couple weeks to find out what’s next. Most likely it’ll be the same corrective surgery.  Anyway, it kind of sucks. Pictures below are of my double-casted legs five years ago.

On the plus side
AFC Wimbledon tied Grimsby on Saturday. It was nil-nil. I can’t wait to go back and see them at Plough Lane again someday! It was a great game with the goalkeeper for the other team saving the penalty and the rebound.
Turned twenty-five years old last week (unless you count the 0 year, then I am twenty-six).
Got some tickets for my birthday. Going to see The National at the Armory this week, Buffalo Nichols at the Turf Club in October, and The Interrupters in Green Bay, WI in October. Â
Where to find me
I’m done with Twitter. You can still find me, Justin Smith Writes, on Facebook and Instagram. And, be sure to sign up for my blog notifications. I don’t use a phone or mobile apps so not able to get on Threads yet since it does not have a desktop app. I’m hoping the desktop app which is more accessible for me will be available soon. Â

I hope they are able to relieve your toe pain Justin!
