The wheel

i have been reading The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan and am on Book 2 of fourteen.  this is a time of pain in my life. i don’t have energy to write the things that I want to write and love. my foot surgery is this Thursday, 9/7/23 – “the wheel weaves what the wheel wills” if you’re into The Wheel of Time series, like me. please send healing energy my way and extra strength to my caregivers. they’ll need it!

Mom’s finishing this next part for me:

Justin will go in for surgery bright and early on Thursday morning to fix up his toes on his right foot. We’re hoping he’ll be home that night but are prepared to stay overnight at the hospital if needed. He’ll return three weeks later to check incisions and get a fresh new cast. Then, because he absolutely did not want to miss the Interrupters concert in Green Bay on October 19th, he’ll be waiting until the following week to have the pins and cast removed. Because of his cerebral palsy and uncontrolled movement, all of these procedures are sedated surgeries. After healing and recovery, we all hope that the intense pain he’s had in his right foot will be back to a tolerable normal or even better than that. He’s ready to get energy back to be able to write, read non-stop, go listen to live music, and generally do all the stuff he loves to do when not in pain! Thanks to you all for keeping him in your heart!

  1. Hey, Justin,
I hope that the surgery goes perfectly, and that your foot heals up as it should and causes no more pain or problems, after you’re through this bump in the road. Pain is exhausting; conserve your strength for only what helps you to feel better and heal up
